These pieces are then marked with pencil and cut in different shapes and sizes in keeping with the design and then handed over to the cutting artisans. Bones extracted from already dead animals are a form of craft that has been well received internationally. An artisan cuts the bone using hand-held tools. The result is straight-line cuts that eliminate wastage in the form of chips or melting of the material.
